Washington: A fast automobile carrying three Indian women from Gujarat lost control, smashed into a barrier, and shot twenty feet into the air before crashing into trees on the other side of a bridge, resulting in the terrible deaths of the three women. The incident happened in Greenville County, South Carolina, on Interstate 85.
Rekhaben Dilipbhai Patel, Sangeetaben Bhaveshbhai Patel, and Manishaben Rajendrabhai Patel, who resided in the Borsad tehsil of the Anand district in Gujarat, have been identified as the victims. The car was discovered in bits, utterly broken and stuck up against a tree.
Speaking to Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis of the Greenville County Coroner's Office described the horrific image, saying, "When the vehicle jumped all four lanes of traffic, it actually struck trees probably at least 20 feet above the ground." He continued, "When you have got family, probably related, three deceased is nothing that you want to ever see." After suffering injuries, the car's driver was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Ellis said that the SUV was exceeding the posted speed limit. "Very seldom do you see a vehicle that leaves the roadway at such a high rate of speed that it jumps 4–6 lanes of traffic and lands in the trees approximately 20 feet," he said. He said that there were no other cars engaged in the collision, suggesting that the car's high speed was the only factor that led to the terrible event.
