Avinash Bhople, the police station in-charge of Ahmedpur, along with public representatives, journalists, and local villagers attended a peace committee meeting that was arranged on Wednesday in the police station premises in anticipation of the forthcoming festivals in Ahmedpur Gram Panchayat. Naib Tehsildar Dhanji Malviya was also present.
The head of the Ahmedpur police station announced that individuals who damage the festive mood will face severe consequences from the authorities. The Peace Committee met to discuss the impending celebrations of Holi, Rang Panchami, Navratri, Ramadan, and Eid.
While the code of conduct has been enforced, the in-charge of the police station stated that we should also celebrate holidays in total harmony and fraternity. The head of the police station has urged to the holders of arms licenses to keep their weapons in the designated area of the police station and to refrain from making religiously provocative postings on social media.
At the Ahmedpur Peace Committee meeting, there was talk about how to observe the holiday in a peaceful manner.
