Many devotees travel to Aavlighat to take baths on April 7 and 8, in honor of Shiv Chaturdashi and Somvati Amavasya. Six department heads have been tasked by Collector Praveen Singh with keeping the arrangements for the devotees at Aavlighat running well.
The Public Health Engineering Department in Sehore has been directed by the Collector to make sure that drinking water is available at Aavlighat. In the meantime, it is the responsibility of Deputy General Manager Electricity Board Budhni to keep the electrical system operating smoothly. Ensure that the Chief Medical and Health Officer, an ambulance, a group of physicians, and any essential life-saving medications are always on hand.
At Owlighat, the SDRF Home Guard personnel and boats will be provided by the District Home Guard Officer. In cooperation with the relevant Sub-Divisional Magistrate, the Chief Municipal Officer shall make provisions for cars, fire fighters, cleanliness, mobile restrooms, etc. at Budhni and Rehti Auwalighat. Budhni Awalighat should have illumination, CCTV cameras, and other amenities, thus the Chief Executive District Panchayat Budhni, Rehti, and Executive Engineer Public Works Department should make sure to provision for these things.
The Collector has directed all involved officers to report to Aavlighat shortly in order to obtain instructions from the Sub-Divisional Officer and Magistrate Budni Radheshyam Baghel and see to it that they are carried out.
A boat and an SDRF home guard crew will be stationed at Aavlighat as part of the preparations for Somvati Amavasya.
