1. Russell stumbled upon Ishant's yorker's crease.
Andre Russell was bowled as well when he slipped on the crease to Ishant Sharma's yorker during Kolkata's innings. Ishant Sharma bowled the opening ball for KKR in the 20th over of their innings at a pace of 144 km/h. In an attempt to block the yorker and save himself, Russell slumped on the crease, only to have Ishant's ball smash his stumps.
2. In Venkatesh's over, Pant scored six consecutive boundaries.
When Venkatesh Iyer came to bowl the 12th over, Rishabh Pant struck six straight boundaries. There were two sixes and four fours among them. On the opening ball of the over, Pant played a hook shot that went to short fine leg for four runs. The second ball was sent over long off for six runs at the same moment. Pant hit the third ball of the over for six runs, sending it towards fine leg outside the boundary.
After then, the fourth ball that went outside the off stump was dispatched for four runs behind point. At square leg, the fifth ball was taken over the boundary for four runs. Additionally, the final ball was dispatched for four runs. In this over, Venkatesh scored 28 runs. This over saw Delhi's score rise to 125/4.
Russell had earlier scored 43 runs off of 19 balls. He smashed three sixes and four fours in this inning.
3. DC's failure to take DRS cost Narine and Iyer their lives.
Delhi captain Rishabh Pant missed two DRS opportunities during Kolkata's innings, giving the batsman life. Replays were later viewed, and it was discovered that the batsman was out.
First: In the fourth over, on Ishant's ball, Narine was given life. Ishant Sharma arrived to bowl the fourth over for Delhi during Kolkata's innings. After hitting two consecutive sixes in the opening two balls, Sunil Narine blasted a four in the third. Subsequently, Ishant delivered the fourth ball at a short length, which Narine attempted to pull. The ball went past the bat near the bat and found its way into Pant's gloves. Delhi would have won the wicket if Pant had opted for DRS in this situation.
