Sunrisers Hyderabad once again scored 250 or more points in the 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In 20 overs, the side scored 266 runs at a cost of 7 wickets. Delhi scored 199 runs before collapsing. Pat Cummins, the captain of SRH, made a leaping catch for David Warner.
Travis Head of SRH and Jack Fraser-Magurk of DC each struck sixes to finish in their forties. In Mayank Markande's over, Magark smashed three straight sixes before being bowled out in the same over.
Highlights of the SRH vs. DC match...
1. Head struck a six to finish his fifty.
Travis Head of SRH is still playing at a high level in the IPL. He now has an inning of 89 runs in 32 balls and scored fifty runs in 16 balls against the Delhi Capitals. There were six sixes and eleven fours in this inning. He even hit a six to round up his fifty.
Head smashed a six on the final ball of Enrique Nortya's over in the third over after hitting four fours on the first five balls. In just 16 balls, he reached his fifty with this six.
2. Prithvi scored four fours and was eliminated.
David Warner arrived to open for the team, followed by impact player Prithvi Shaw from Delhi. Prithvi struck four fours in the first four deliveries of the first over against Washington Sundar. On the fifth ball, he attempted to hit a powerful shot as well, but he was caught off guard in the cover position. With 5 balls, Prithvi scored 16 runs.
3. A diving catch was made by Pat Cummins.
David Warner was sent to the pavilion by SRH captain Pat Cummins after he made a diving catch. The final ball of the second over was bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar on a decent-length cross seam. Warner attempted a single, but the pitch was made toward mid-off. Cummins lunged forward to grab the catch at this point. Warner was only able to score one run on three balls.
4. In one over, Fraser-Magark scored thirty runs.
With his prolific batting in the IPL, Jack Fraser-Magark, a teenage hitter for Delhi, is becoming well-known. In addition, he batted quickly against SRH, reaching 50 in just 15 balls. In the third over of the inning, he smashed three sixes and three fours to score thirty runs against the Washington Sundarins. With this, he reached 35 runs in 10 balls on the scoreboard.
5. After hitting three sixes against Markande, Magark was out.
Magark did not abandon his aggressive strategy following the powerplay. With 17 balls, he and Abhishek Porel first shared a fifty. Then, against Mayank Markande, he blasted three straight sixes in the seventh over of the innings. On the third, fourth, and fifth balls, he struck sixes. In just 15 balls, he reached his fifty by smashing a six on the fourth ball.
On the final ball of the over, though, Mayank caught Mayank in point position. Magark hit five fours and seven sixes in his 18-ball inning of 65 runs.
