On Sunday evening, Budni police in Sehore confiscated 15 boxes of English and country liquor valued at Rs 73 thousand. The automobile is believed to cost Rs 6 lakh.
Chief of Police Station Budhni said that while we were checking, a white car drove up from the Bhopal side of the Gadaria drain. We attempted to stop it, but it would not stop. After pursuing the vehicle at a high speed and stopping it close to the Ram Janaki Temple on Jarrapur Road, which is close to Gunjari Nala, the driver of the vehicle abandoned the vehicle and fled. There were booze boxes stored in the back trunk of the automobile when it was inspected.
This included a car, nine boxes of beer, two boxes of white plain country liquor, one box each of English liquor from the Goa Company, Imperial Blue Company, and Royal Stage English whiskey, as well as fifteen boxes totaling 160.92 liters of illicit booze, valued at roughly Rs 73 thousand. A serial number MP 04 CG0848, estimated to be worth Rs 6 lakh, was taken.
A case was filed under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act against the unidentified driver of the vehicle. Based on the car's registration number, the accused is being searched.
