Two sections of the Malwa train separated by a broken coupling

On Saturday, the Malwa Express train's coupling broke, causing it to travel from Dr. Ambedkar Nagar to Maa Vaishno Devi Katra station. The train broke apart at the coupling, causing it to split into two halves and come to a stop close to Berchha station. The incident took place at 3:55 p.m. The train stayed in this spot for roughly two hours following the incident.

In this case, the train departed the Sehore railway station 2.46 hours later than scheduled at 6:56 p.m. There are rumors that the train's coupler broke twice on Saturday alone. The junction between two cars of the Coupling Malwa Express train broke close to the Pir Umrod railway station, separating the engine from the two bogies behind it. After the coupling was fixed here and the train was sent on its way, it opened up again ten minutes later before arriving at Berchha railway station. A portion of the train advanced with the engine once the coupling was opened. The other section proceeded down the railroads. The coaches were packed with people. Still, nobody lost their life.

Govind Singh said he was riding in one of these coaches as he made his way from Ujjain to Karnal via train. The train abruptly came to a stop as it traveled. At that moment, it was 3:45. Upon exiting the coach, every passenger noticed that certain coaches had their engines running in reverse. Subsequently, it was found that certain compartments and the engine were detached. After repairing the coupler, the train departed. Ten minutes later, it stopped once more. When we got down, we saw that the coaches had disconnected from the engine, and at Berchha, the train was fixed. The train lingered here for nearly two hours. In this case, the train reached Sehore at 6:56 p.m. The passengers continued to have problems for around three quarters of an hour. At 7 pm, the train headed towards Bhopal after a 4-minute stopover.

The engine stopped when the auto brakes engaged. The engine was reattached to the coaches after only a few distance of use. In this situation, the auto brakes engage because the coach is an LHB. The coaches halted as a result, but in around 30 minutes the issue was fixed, and the train was taken away. Ratlam Railway Division spokesman Khemraj Meena
