The Censor Board has certified Ajay Devgan's film "Maidan" as 'U' without any modifications. The movie lasts for three hours and two minutes. On the occasion of Eid, it will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
A biopic of Syed Abdul Rahim is called "Maidan."
This Ajay-starring sports drama biography is based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, the Indian National Football Team's manager and coach from 1950 to 1963.
The film will feature Ajay in the role of Rahim. His spouse has been portrayed by Priyamani. Slochita, Rudranil Ghosh, Gajraj Rao, and the two of them will also be featured in significant parts in the movie.
For five years, the movie was stalled.
2018 saw the announcement of this movie. Its release has since been delayed five times since then. The movie's original set was constructed on nine acres in Dahisar, where numerous sets, including an Olympic-style track, were constructed. On this set, there were still 30 to 35 days of shooting left, but the pandemic and lockdown made it impossible to film the remaining material for an extended period of time.
This set was made for a total of Rs 7 crore. Cyclone Nisarga caused extensive damage to the movie set as well. 'Badhaai Ho' renowned director Amit Sharma is the director of this movie. Boney Kapoor is the producer of it.
