Questions have been raised about the security measures implemented at the Mahakal temple following the death of a servant and the 14 people who were injured in the fire that broke out in the sanctum sanctorum on March 25, during the Dhulendi festival. Following the fire, the Ujjain Collector dispatched a group of officials to inspect the configurations of the nation's four largest temples. The temple will soon show numerous significant alterations when the team returns.

The National Building Code team will soon arrive in Mahakal (NBC) to determine the maximum number of worshippers permitted in each sector of the temple at any given moment. It will also determine how many priest servants are stationed in the sanctum. The priests' tasks will be divided.

Following the fire in the Mahakal temple, the inquiry team's preliminary report was released. The final report filed by the investigating officers with the collector may take a little longer to arrive. Following this, recommendations have been made for numerous significant adjustments to the Mahakal temple as well, following the dispatch of a team to each of the four largest temples in the nation to assess the setups there.

Administrator of the Mahakal Temple, Mrinal Meena, announced that with the installation of security measures, such as secure entry and exit from the temple, the official darshan arrangements at the four major temples have been reinstated. The temple will soon have a full-time fire safety officer assigned. Limited admission to the sanctum sanctorum has also been suggested, akin to other temples, and it is set to be implemented shortly. The Baig Shrine was inaccessible to even the most advanced electronic camera mobile. Large rakes are going to be ready for this. In order to save devotees time, an offline system for storing cellphone cameras will be launched in addition to the online one.

The NBC crew will be here shortly.

The Mahakal Temple edifice will be inspected, and it will be determined how many devotees can stay in various areas of the temple at once, all for the safety of the thousands of visitors each day. A team from the NBC National Building Code will shortly arrive at Mahakal Temple to investigate. In order to ensure that the devotees are kept safe in the event of an unfortunate scenario, Meena informed the team that they would be visiting the temple's sanctum sanctorum, Nandi Hall, Kartikeya Mandapam, Ganesh Mandapam, Sabha Mandapam, tunnel, and entry and exit gates. Following this, the same number of devotees will be permitted entry into these Mahakal Temple locations upon the arrival of the team's report. Later, the team will visit Mahakal Lok as well.

will distribute the priests' workload.

According to Administrator Meena, the team acknowledged that there are other Pande priests in other temples as well. However, the priests there do not go into the sanctum sanctorum in unison. Since everyone's work has been split, the Mahakal Temple will soon also have a priestly division of labor system in place. Similar to other temples, this one will also have three levels of security checks conducted by the police.

These modifications will take place.

Sulabh Darshan: More e-carts will be produced. The followers are spared a great deal of walking as a result. This will prevent crowds from gathering.
Fire Safety: There shall be an assigned fire safety officer.
PRO Office: The Protocol Office will house a new office. This page will be used to release news and images pertaining to the temple. The media will have designated seating in this area. This site can also host press conferences.
Bhasma Aarti: Originally, plans for Bhasma Aarti included accommodations for roughly 1600 people. It was lowered to 1300 in the interim. There will now be a further 150 reductions in the number.
Security: Security staff will occasionally receive training. Police department officers will conduct this training.

When the NBC team visits the Mahakal Temple to inspect security, the priests' tasks will be reorganized, and bags, cellphones, and electronic cameras will all be strictly prohibited.
