1. The game was stopped twice because of Ponting's argument with the umpire over impact players.
Fast bowler Nadre Berger was brought onto the field by the Rajasthan Royals as an impact player during the innings following the intermission. Rajasthan had only fielded three foreign players (Jos Buttler, Trent Boult, and Shimron Hetmyer) earlier in the batting innings. Hetmyer was replaced by Burger Batter. In IPL matches, international players may only be deployed as impact players if their side has three foreign players on the field.
But the problem started when Rovman Powell arrived on the field to field Rajasthan. The West Indies player would become the fifth foreign player to represent Rajasthan in a single match, according to claims made by Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting.
Soon after, there was a fight between the players and the umpire. Nitin Menon, the umpire, intervened in the disagreement between Warner and Buttler, and Ponting complained to the fourth umpire. In the end, Ponting was upset in the dugout and Powell was permitted to onto the field.
After that, after only two balls, the game ended once more. Taking the team sheet, the fourth umpire informed Ponting that the Royals had switched out one international player for another. There in the dugout is Hetmyer. Powell has entered the game as a replacement outfield, meaning that there are still only four foreign players on the field. He's just going to field things.
2. Butler was out and Kuldeep made Pant indicate DRS.
Delhi captain Rishabh Pant reviewed Kuldeep Yadav's appeal during the first innings. Kuldeep bowled the ball close to the leg stump line on the second ball of the eighth over. The ball struck the Rajasthan opener's pads after he attempted a reverse-sweep but failed. Despite Kuldeep Yadav's plea for LBW, Buttler was declared not out by the umpire.
Rishabh Pant, the captain of the Delhi Capitals, was reluctant to do DRS, but Kuldeep approached him and made him do so. Being sufficiently self-assured, Kuldeep made the skipper take DRS. Buttler was declared LBW out and the umpire had to reverse his ruling when ball tracking was observed.
3. During a scoop shot, Dhruv Jurel was bowled.
Dhruv Jurel, a middle-order batsman for the Rajasthan Royals, was bowled during a scoop shot. In the eighteenth over, he was dismissed. He was out-bowled by Enrique Nortya. On the second ball of the over, Jurel attempted a scoop play, but he veered too far to the off side, allowing the ball to strike his bat and strike the stumps. Jurel was only able to score 20 runs.
4. Pant received a unique jersey
The first player to appear in 100 games for the Delhi Capitals was Rishabh Pant. His teammates got him a customized jersey before the game. On the shirt was written 100 in addition to Pant's name.
In 2016, Pant made his IPL debut. He captained India in the U19 World Cup the same year. With the exception of his first year, he has scored over 300 runs annually. Pant has hit more sixes (129) and scored more runs than any other batting for Delhi.
