On Thursday night, March 21, Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Kejriwal was questioned by the ED for two hours prior to his arrest.
The second Chief Minister to be taken into custody by the ED is Kejriwal. Hemant Soren, the former chief minister of Jharkhand, was detained earlier on January 31. But after Soren submitted his resignation to the governor, he was taken into custody by the ED. Tell us about Kejriwal's journey from IIT graduation to civil service selection and subsequent entry into politics.
Haryana native who completed IIT-UPSC
On August 16, 1968, Arvind Kejriwal was born in the Haryanan village of Kheda, in the Siwani district. After passing the 1985 IIT-JEE exam, Arvind earned a mechanical engineering degree from IIT Kharagpur. Kejriwal spent roughly three years working for Tata Steel after graduating from college in 1989.
Following this, he left his position in 1992 to get ready for the Civil Services Test. Kejriwal cleared the UPSC test in 1995. In the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), he was chosen. He was then given the position of Assistant Commissioner in the Department of Income Taxation.
Kejriwal asked for a two-year paid leave of absence in 2000 in order to pursue further education. Kejriwal was granted vacation with the understanding that he would not quit the position until he returned to work for a minimum of three years. He will get paid the wage that was given to him at this time if he does so.

Pulkit, Arvind Kejriwal's son, and Harshita, his daughter, are his two children. Kejriwal's daughter played football and graduated from IIT as well.
