Tuesday's IPL match saw the victory of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The team's second home game of the 17th season ended with a 63-run victory over the Gujarat Titans. During the game, MS Dhoni, 42, made a fantastic diving catch, diving 2.27 meters.

On the opening ball of the IPL, Sameer Rizvi, who batted first for Chennai, smashed a six. However, Gujarat's David Miller and Vijay Shankar mishandled the ball, allowing the CSK batsmen to score four runs. Moments...

1. In the first over, Gaikwad failed to catch Sai Kishore.
Sai Kishore dropped an easy catch of the Chennai skipper in the slips on the fifth delivery of the opening over of the game. When the ball veered off the good length, Rituraj's bat lost its outer edge, and Sai Kishore caught possession of it. However, Sai was unable to hold on, and Gaikwad was awarded life. Using this to his advantage, he scored 46 runs off of 36 balls.

2. After a missed field goal, Rahane-Gaikwad scored four runs.
Ajinkya Rahane struck a drive towards deep mid-wicket with Sai Kishore's ball in the ninth over. Vijay Shankar and David Miller sprinted to stop the ball. But in their confusion, they both missed the ball. The ball began traveling towards the boundary because neither of them was able to catch it. Rahane and Rituraj Gaikwad ran 4 runs together in the interim.
3. Dubey hit two straight sixes to begin his inning.
In the eleventh over of CSK's innings, Ajinkya Rahane was removed by Sai Kishore. Shivam Dubey then took the bat. On Kishore's first two balls, Dubey smashed two straight sixes. The first ball was outside the off-stump and had a longer length. Dubey struck a front-side six. Dubey struck a six in the direction of mid-wicket on the second delivery, which was still of decent length on the stump line.
4. Rizvi's six off the opening bounce
In the opening IPL match, Sameer Rizvi made his debut for Chennai; however, he was not given the opportunity to bat. In the second match, he batted for the first time before Rashid Khan came in to bowl. Against Rashid, Rizvi struck a six in the direction of square leg on the opening ball. In just 6 balls, Rizvi scored 14 runs.
5. Saha's helmet was struck by Deepak Chahar's bouncer.
Wriddhiman Saha, the wicketkeeper and opening batsman for Gujarat, was struck by a ball bowled by Deepak Chahar. When Chahar bowled the fifth over, his second ball struck Wriddhiman Saha in the helmet. Saha scored 21 runs but was out on the very next ball. Tushar Deshpande caught him, thanks to Chahar. Both of Gujarat's openers returned to the pavilion following Saha's dismissal, and the team's total increased to 34 runs for two wickets.
6. Dhoni dove 2.27 meters to make a flying catch.
Vijay Shankar was dismissed by former Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni with a superb diving catch. Dhoni had to dive 2.27 meters for this, and his response time was 0.6 seconds.

Daryl Mitchell bowled a decent-length ball outside the off stump in the eighth over. After striking Shankar's bat, the ball left the wicket. With a dive to his right, Dhoni accepted the catch.

7. Rahane dove forward to grab the catch.
Ajinkya Rahane, a batsman for Chennai, made an incredible catch while lunging forward. The catch occurred when David Miller attempted to hit a huge shot against Tushar Deshpande in the twelfth over of the Titans' innings.

Miller attempted to play the shot towards mid-wicket but was unable to time it. Running forward, fielding, was Ajinkya Rahane, who grabbed the catch. Miller scored 21 runs off of 16 balls before being out.
