On Sunday night, a case of illegal tube well mining in the Shyampur region was discovered. The local Sarpanch and Tehsildar were informed about this by the residents, but by the time the officials arrived, the boring machine had already left the location.
The source claims that the administration has outlawed the usage of water for commercial purposes due to the potential for a water crisis in the area. Even after this, several individuals were observed last night in the Shyampur neighborhood digging illicit tube wells; locals alerted the authorities, but they did not show up till later. In the meanwhile, the miners fled.
Remarkably, on March 22, the district administration issued orders prohibiting the introduction of boring machines without authorization. However, it was observed yesterday night that this order was being brazenly disregarded in Shyampur.
Regarding this, Shyampur Tehsildar S Chandele stated that he had learned that Patwari had been dispatched to the location. The report from Patwari has not yet been turned in. According to him, he has not yet received any orders prohibiting bore mining.
Sarpanch Naveen Chauhan claims that he was notified of this by numerous persons, and he also notified the local authorities.
