When one hears this remark, Shubhangi Atre of "Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain" fame immediately comes to mind. Their tales are told in this year's Struggle Story.

Shubhangi, who was born in Madhya Pradesh, always wanted to be an actor, but her family forbade it. A family consisting of engineers and physicians thought acting was the worst job. Shubhangi, 21, got married when she was still finishing her degree.

It's been claimed that dreams can come true in any circumstance or moment. Shubhangi followed suit as well. She became a mother to a daughter before beginning her career. She is now well-known by the name and persona of Angoori Bhabhi in every home.

Shubhangi is narrating this tale at 2:00 PM while seated in her manager's Malad East, Mumbai, home. We asked him the first question out of courtesy.

Tell me about your household.
According to Shubhangi, "I was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on April 18, 1981." There isn't a true brother among us three sisters. We performed all of the little and large household chores for this purpose. Papa has always encouraged me in these endeavors. He told us we were capable of anything.

Initially, I wanted to be an actor, but no one in my family pursued this career path. The cousins are all engineers or doctors as well. This was the reason his family did not support him when they learned he was going into acting. My parents, however, are now overjoyed to witness my success in this industry.

You were young when you got married. Is there a unique explanation for this?
Yes, I was 21 years old when I got married,' she replied. There wasn't any such unique cause. I had an MBA at the time. In the past, Brahmin families in Madhya Pradesh would begin the process of finding a daughter a husband as soon as she graduated. This is also the reason I tied the knot. My marriage brought me to Pune. After then, at the age of 22, she gave birth to a daughter named Aashi.

I did an advertisement for Bhaskar TV before getting married. I am still grateful to Bhaskar Group for providing me with my first opportunity at success.

After a while, I shot an advertisement in Pune for a shampoo company. For this shoot, I was paid Rs 2,500. You have a heroine's face, the photographer who shot the picture said to me. Acting is something you should absolutely try.

I was unaware that Pune is the location of the auditions. This was said by the photographer directly. Next, I held a casting call. I'm not sure how Ekta Kapoor found out about the audition. She thought highly of the work I had done.

I was originally supposed to work on the television series Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, but I ended up getting hired for "Kasauti Zindagi Ki." I used to receive Rs. 3,000 here each day. Fortunately, work continued to flow after this.
