Action taken by the Forest Department: Four bikes and nine pieces of teak wood were taken from the Laikui forest region, and one suspect was detained.

The Forest Department has taken efforts to stop the unauthorized movement of wood in the Sehore district's rural districts.

According to Laikui Forest Range Officer Prakash Chandra Uike, the squad was assembled based on the informant's information. Along with forest workers, the team's area assistants, Dabri Ashok Solanki and Sharad Ranjan, were policing the routes from Baniagaon to Bhaisan and Dhadhiya to Rithwad.
Suspicious cars were observed during this period coming from various directions. When forest officials besieged the area around the villages of Bhaisan and Dhadhiya, they confiscated four motorcycles worth Rs 93 thousand and nine teak charpat pieces valued at Rs 18,414. One of the accused was apprehended by the Forest Department right away, while the other accomplice fled.

A government van carrying the confiscated items was driven to the Ladkui forest reserve premises. Following this, M.P. Forest Crime and the Indian Forest Act were registered under different trade regulatory provisions. The fugitive defendant is being inspected.
