The district has until May 7th, 2024–25, to acquire wheat at the support price under the terms of the Rabi marketing year. In the district, efforts on obtaining wheat at a support price began today, Wednesday. Prior to officially beginning the buying process, the weigh-fork puja at Gayatri Warehouse, Pilukhedi, and Charnal was performed. A total of 94564 farmers in the district have registered as of the deadline. In the district, 231 registration centers have been established for procurement.

It has been informed that farmers would have their wheat purchased five days a week, from Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Weighing slips for farmers will be provided by 6 p.m. The Collector has instructed that wheat be purchased in accordance with the quality and control standards established by the Indian government. "The organization operating at each center will ensure the availability of physical, human resources, weighing scale, and other facilities of the prescribed specifications for operating the procurement center."

The district's marketing committees and 67 centers of all service cooperatives have received instructions from the collector directing them to follow the guidelines established by the Indian government for wheat quality control. High-speed internet access, a continuous power generator, electronic devices such as laptops, printers, dongles, scanners, and UPS batteries, as well as public amenities like carpets, tables, chairs, drinking water, restrooms, shade, and electricity, are also provided. Production equipment is also included. such as a tester, large filter, fan, or calibration.

The procurement banner and general information as per the guidelines, FAQ samples, FAQ quality criteria, payment and toll-free number arrangements, protective facilities (tarpaulins, covers, fire extinguishers, sand, buckets, fast-aid boxes), the availability of custom-hired cleaning equipment for cleaning the farmer's produce, the upgrading of the non-FAQ section at the procurement centers, and the purchase of cleaning equipment by the procurement committee and organization are all included in the information board. Plans need to be made. The filter, fan, cleaning and grading machine, moisture meter, biometric device, and procurement in-charge should all have digital signatures at the same time.
