Bihar's politics are like to a movie's narrative. Here, leaders have complete control over tickets. The infamous Ashok Mahato of Bihar tied the knot on Tuesday in order to win a Lok Sabha seat. Ashok cannot run for office because there are so many cases against him that have been filed. He responded to this by getting married in Kharmas itself to a woman who was sixteen years his junior. Lalu Yadav allegedly told Ashok Mahato a few days ago to get married before seeing the ticket.

Thirteen years ago, the same thing happened. Ajay Singh, the son of MLA Jagmato Devi of the Siwan district's Darunda assembly seat, had applied for a ticket for the by-election following his death. Nitish Kumar then declined, claiming that he was the subject of numerous criminal cases. on that period, Ajay Singh advertised his marriage in the papers and tied the knot on Pitru Paksha.
Darunda MLA Jagmato Devi passed away. His son Ajay Singh had influence in that area as well as in Siwan, because his mother was an MLA from JDU. Ajay Singh reached out to Nitish Kumar to get the by-election ticketJagmato Devi, the Darunda MLA, departed. Because of the fact that his mother was a JDU MLA, his son Ajay Singh was well-connected in Siwan as well. In order to obtain the by-election ticket, Ajay Singh contacted Nitish Kumar.

He was allegedly told he had criminal cases against him by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who declined to issue him the ticket. The ticket can be given to your wife if she so chooses.

In those years, Ajay Singh was single. There was still a month left in Pitru Paksha. At the time, it was hard to find a girl because of Ajay Singh's criminal image. Given the circumstances, Ajay Singh quickly published a marriage advertisement in the newspapers, stipulating that the girl's name must be on the voter list, that she must be older than 25 according to her voter card, and that a female with a political background would be given preference. The issue was raised. 16 girls had gotten in touch with Ajay Singh after seeing the advertisement.

The 16 girls who were chosen for marriage included Kavita Singh's name as well. Kavita Singh was enrolled in Jaypee University, Chapra, at the time to pursue her masters degree. In contrast to Hindu tradition, which holds that no auspicious work is done during Kharmas, her family quickly arranged for her to get married after selecting Kavita Singh. Yet Ajay Singh wed in Kharmas itself, and Kavita Singh won the ticket, all because of electoral advantage. Following their union, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was initially approached by the couple to ask for his blessing. Presenting herself as a bride, with henna-stained hands and bangles in her palms, Kavita had come to submit her nomination.

In 2011, Kavita Singh won a by-election and went on to become the youngest Member of the Bihar Assembly. Kavita Singh was the talk of the town after she was elected as an MLA. Two assembly elections were won by Kavita Singh, who began her political career with those elections thanks to her spouse.
